The spring winds of 2020 naturally reduced our yields, resulting in remarkable freshness in this Chardonnay. To emphasise this vibrancy, only partial malolactic fermentation was allowed, balancing fresh acidity with a creamy texture, throughout its aging journey.
The north-facing slopes captured the sun’s energy, promoting ripe peach and nectarine characters, while subtle oak ageing adds a delicate touch of spice and truffle. Unsurprisingly, Obsidian Reserve Chardonnay 2021 received a gold in Dish Magazine — even before its release!
